  • Amy was a Godsend! Her helpful approach and upbeat easy going personality made it easy for me to lose weight and when nothing I had tried before had worked. We established the goal of my losing ten pounds in the two months we would be working together. I lost ten pounds by the end of the first month so then decided to try to lose another five during the second. It’s been two months, and I have lost 18 pounds! The clothes that I couldn’t wear last summer now fit, and my glucose levels have dropped nearly 50 percent, which was my primary goal since I had crossed the line from pre-diabetic to diabetic.

    I had been trying to lose ten pounds for the past four years to at least get me closer to the weight I had been my entire adult life before age 55. Every attempt and method had failed. I might tweak a pound or two but would then gain it right back. I would ask myself ‘should it be this hard to lose ten pounds, or maybe even five?’ It had been easy to drop a few pounds when I was younger and jogging regularly.

  • In December 2018, a undetected irregular heart rhythm was discovered during my physical. The cardiologist said I was obese, weighed 203 lbs. naked and was eating myself to death. I'm 5'8" so imagine that. I have struggled with my weight for the last 32-years, and I'm almost 60 years of age. I would try all kinds of programs, quick weight loss gimmicks, pills, shots and crazy sounding solutions only to gain the weight back again, plus another five.

    The heart condition married with my golf buddies constant teasing me about looking like I was carrying twins was what inspired me to take action. I spoke to my local golf Pro, he suggested a Dietician which I have never considered before, but makes perfect sense. Fast forward, I met with Amy Mackenzie and she was full of knowledge, but used a practical and repeatable plan with me. I travel for a living so getting the proper food on the road can be a challenge. Amy developed a plan that was tailored to my needs. 

    The first week was the hardest, because my body was use to eating fast food, junk, sugar products that would put a normal person into a diabetic coma. But after the first week, my body adjusted and I started to drop weight. Sure I was challenged with staying on the program to the letter but Amy's Instagram account, her phone calls, coaching & direction were the emotional gas for my tank to continue on. When tempted with bad choices I just imagined Amy standing next to me asking me if anything would taste as good as lean/healthy body looks like.

    Amy has give my body a second chance. I was guilty of living life coasting. I took my health for granted and along the way...you really are what youeat. Amy exposed my food weaknesses but during this journey together I have learned that I can live life, do life without the weight gain. Thanks to Amy, I feel & look the best I ever have.
